Classic New York salsa from Tito Puente and singer Frankie Figueroa. Singer Frankie Figueroa worked with many bands in the 1960s and 70s including: Willie Rosario, Cesar Concepcion, Chucho Rodríguez, Memo Salamanca and Tito Puente. For this 1970s solo album Frankie is accompanied by the Tito Puente Orchestra, with Puente arranging and directing the recordings which were produced by Bobby Marin. The result is a great album of guarachas, guaguanco, boleros and what we now call salsa. It has that classic Tito Puente sound from the heyday of New York salsa. The music swings and Frankie is on top form fronting the band.
