Mames Babegenush
Mames Babegenush is the past world meeting the present. It is Jewish dance music united with new waves of modern music: a fresh blend of music genres that appeals to both heart and feet. Behind the name Mames Babegenush six musicians reside, each rooted in different genres, who meet with a common desire of digging deeper into the soul of klezmer, as well as reinterpreting, composing and contributing to the genre. Past performances have included venues like The Royal Danish Theatre and Carnegie Hall in New York playing alongside renowned artists like David Krakauer (US), Gogol Bordello (US), SoCalled (CAN), Yuri Yunakov (BGR/US), Christian Dawid (GER), The William Blakes (DK), Middle East Peace Orchestra (DK/GER/US/PSE/ISR) and many more...
