Original motion picture soundtrack for the mystery thriller feature film Crushed. Film Synopsis: When a winery owner dies in a suspicious accident, his estranged daughter is forced to return home to the Vineyard. But when his death is ruled a murder and her mother becomes the prime suspect, she’ s determined to find the truth. Composer's Biography - Aaron Kenny: FEATURED BY ASCAP as a “Composer to Watch,” Aaron Kenny is a Film, Television, Concert Hall & Musical Theatre composer. Award-nominated and award-winning for his work, some of his accolades include the Australian Young Composer of the Year award and a prestigious nomination for the Zurich Film Music Competition’s Award for Best Score. Currently in the position of Music Assistant to Alan Menken (“The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty And The Beast,” “Aladdin”), Aaron is also a selected composer participating in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. His most recent film work can be found in the Australian psychological thriller feature film “Crushed,” set in a winery in regional New South Wales. He also scored the Australian Academy Award nominated short film “Welcome to Iron Knob,” Best Original Score Nominee (for the Kilda Film Festival 2012) short film “Moth,” as well “A Mighty Nice Man” (Best Picture winner of the Columbia University Film Festival, recipient of the HBO Development Award, and premiering at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival). For his work in Musical Theatre, Aaron has most recently collaborated with numerous lyricists through the BMI Workshop, having the opportunity to work on several songs adapted from well-known material. The Workshop is known for it’s many illustrious alumni, including Oscar and Tony Winner Bobby Lopez and Tony winner Stephen Flaherty. In 2012 he also was selected for the inaugural ASCAP Foundation’s Broadway Conductors Program, made possible by the bequest of Marvin Hamlisch. A graduate from the University of Adelaide's Elder Conservatorium of Music with Honors in Composition, he also graduated from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School with a Diploma in Screen Music. Aaron most recently received his Masters in Music Composition from the Steinhardt School at New York University, where he was also a recipient of both the Steinhardt and Alan Menken Scholarships.
