Lil' Bit of Everything
Megan Swindler has received great interest in her EP "Lil' Bit of Everything," being released on Feb 18 2015, from audience members, Facebook fans, and YouTube subscribers. The inspiration for the name "Lil' Bit of Everything" comes from the variation of music in the 5 song EP. When creating this collection of songs Megan wanted to record songs that are fun, carefree, and get her listeners singing along to empowering lyrics that are relatable to life experiences. "Limitless" and "Handle Your Heart" were the first two tracks recorded for the EP. Both songs Megan wrote to inspire herself and her listeners to go after what you want; relationship, career, you fill in the blank. "Limitless" comes from a time in your life when you want to do more than you think you are capable of. Once you discover you can "do so much more than you can" you will feel Limitless. "Handle Your Heart" is about the joy of wearing your heart on your sleeve without any regrets and the confidence it takes to carry a burden of someone you deeply care about. Megan's single off the EP, "Call Me Tonight" was inspired by wondering "what happened to that old fashion call?" The simple frustration of trying to communicate with someone who only wants to text when a call would be so much easier. The single has been a fan favorite since November of last year and it's easy to see why."Call Me Tonight"grabs your attention in the first few seconds you hear that loud stomp and clap and gets you wanting to sing along with the 80's inspired background vocals. Megan likes to think of "Keep It" as the "Lil' Bit of Everything." This smooth, bluesy track brings a lot of contrast to the EP. This is a song you can sit back, close your eyes, and imagine that person who will one day, if not already, keep your heart. "Your Last Name" comes from one of the most frustrating situations a woman could be in; the end of a relationship. In this catchy pop track Megan finds a bright side, "I guess it's ok, I didn't want your last name anyway." Lyrics that speak frustration and truth towards the man who ends the relationship, you're better off without him and his horrible last name. An empowering ballad for women everywhere.
