Existential Garden
Garden Gnome's second release "Existential Garden" features 12 new songs. This album picks up were the first album "Clandestine Gnome" left off, but it takes a more focussed direction in style. Like their first release, there are songs that are both musically based and guitar based, but there are songs with new approaches to back-vocals, rhythm, and subtle mixing effects. Also, the album captures more of a story throughout. From the disconnected theme in the lyrics of DAZE, "All my chores stand in line, in the time I'm absent of conscious mind, just to find, I've been moving from blue skies." To the reconciling message found in the WEAVING TIME lyrics, "The sun is down, yes I know it's time to go, I see the light and I hear the call, just where ever you may go, oh please don't forget my name." There is an overall tone of being an imperfect person that is growing older and hopefully a little wiser.
