How Lucky Can I Be EP

Matt Richardson's debut album is a masterpiece of modern singer-songwriter music. It embodies the light acoustic sound and soft vocals that define the genre, all the while reinventing it with a Jason Mraz-esque blend of pop and jazz. The songs on this set manage to be catchy and fun, and have broad appeal without sacrificing the quality music aficionados crave. The shining stars on "How Lucky Can I Be EP" are the eponymous track, "How Lucky Can I Be?" and "Little Things (Who You Are)." "How Lucky Can I Be?" has extremely catchy riffs you'll find yourself unable to forget, along with goofy-yet-clever lyrics that will remind you of Train. On the other hand, "Little Things (Who You Are)" is a more somber tune with a soft, relaxing flow and a mellow groove. Overall this is album is bound to please.
