Cassie Curtis

I have been singing and playing the piano since I was four years old, and I have been playing guitar for a couple of years too. My Dad is a pastor, so I have had many opportunities to use my talents in the church. Growing up, I also enjoyed performing in school plays and musicals. I had the unique privilege of acting, singing, and dancing in Florence’s community theater. In the last couple of years, I have been able to lead worship in youth and college settings. I also love the chances to play and sing with the Cornerstone Worship Band when I'm at home. Music is a big part of my life! I am also an athlete. I grew up playing competitive basketball and tennis in school. I have a pretty good jump shot in hoops (It’s “money”!) and a wicked backhand on the tennis court. I am currently playing on the college tennis team. I even get to play doubles with my older sister, Cherie. My ping pong skills are pretty stellar too. Some other hobbies include reading, listening to music, going to movies, playing sports, messing around on the guitar, and texting. I have always enjoyed writing and have loved the opportunity to see my own songs come to life on the new album. The songs flow out of personal experiences in my walk with God. I speak honestly about the struggles and challenges of developing a consistent walk with God, and I remind myself and others that the solution isn’t found by simply trying harder—it’s found by loving God and living for His glory alone. My prayer is that listeners will be challenged and encouraged to grow in their relationship with God and the knowledge of His purposes for them.
