Haloo Helsinki!

by Jason Birchmeier Haloo Helsinki! are a teenage rock band from Helsinki, Finland, whose self-titled debut album was a Top Ten hit in 2008. Comprised of teenagers Elli (vocals, bass guitar), Jere (guitar), Leo (guitar), and Jukka (drums), the band collaborated with producer Erno Laitinen after signing a major-label recording contract with EMI Music Finland. Peaking at number six on the Finnish albums chart, Haloo Helsinki! spawned a series of singles ("Haloo Helsinki!," "Perjantaina," "Vieri Vesi Vieri," "Yksinäiset") for which promotional videos were filmed and subsequently aired on MTV. In addition to their studio efforts and promotional videos, Haloo Helsinki! took their live show on the road, performing in concert throughout Finland.
