Legowelt
by Andy Kellman Legowelt is the alias of Danny Wolfers, a native of the Hague who produces tracks inspired by Italo-disco, early Chicago house, disco, new wave, and more than anything else 80s electro. The bulk of Wolfers' output has appeared on the Netherlands' Bunker label, including 12" releases such as Pimpshifter (1999) and Wirtschaftswunder (2000). He also released a full album on Goldcoast in 1998 called Reports from the Backstreet Pimp. By the end of 2002, he racked up over half a dozen compilation appearances, the most prominent of which was "Disco Rout" on Ghostly International's Tangent 2002: Disco Nouveau. Wolfers has collaborated with Orgue Electronique for a trio of releases that appeared on Bunker and Kapellmeister and he has done several remixes for the likes of I-F, Speedy J, and V.U.L.V.A.
