Skeem
Based in France, SKEEM was the musical brainchild of Serge Barbaro (guitar, keyboards, vocals), who at the end of the 90s had composed several melodies but lacked fitting lyrics. He got in contact with Mark Eaton, who was positive to work on this project, and eventually produced the lyrics for all compositions except Eye of the World; which Barbaro wrote himself. With lyrics in place Barbaro got in touch with musicians for the recording of his production, and got positive response from PRIAM members EmmaM (drums) and Bertrand Hulin Bertaud (bass), as well as Berny Barbaro (keyboards), Fabrice Rives (keyboards), Sabrina Bendjema (guitar, backing vocals) and Cathy Lully Croux (backing vocals). The album was finished in 2001, and was released by French specialist progresive rock label Musea Records. Following the release of his creation Serge Barbaro was kept busy with other musical projects; eventually disbanding further work with Skeem sometime around 2005.
