The RED Experience: Timotha Lanae CD release event! with a special silent auction for Japan Sunday May 22th, 2011 at SEVEN SUSHI ULTRALOUNGE Downtown Mpls. Timotha Lanae and Savannah Street Music present The RED Experience; a sneak peak into the creative mind of theatrical actress, performer, singer and songwriter Timotha Lanae. Timotha Lanae with her band will be performing her smash single RADIO which features Stokley Williams and Walter ‘Q Bear’ Banks Jr. and other songs from her highly anticipated album RED. The event will also feature a special performance by the acclaimed Ladies of Jazz and a tantalizing scene from REDdington, an original musical written by Timotha Lanae. Prepare to be WOWED! Timotha Lanae recently returned home safely to the Twin Cities after being on tour in Tokyo, Japan, where she experienced the March 11th, earth quake. Deeply affected by the loss of life and devastation; a silent action has been incorporated into the CD release event with proceeds going directly to Tamago Farms, A Children’s Musical Company, located in the devastated area of Sendai, Japan. Lanae has always had a passion for music, education and youth, she received her Bachelor of Science from the University of MN in Foundations of Education. She then fused her passion for education, youth and the arts, into her organization, MN Artists for Youth Arts (MAYA). MAYA’s goal is to help keep youth arts programs alive. Last year, MAYA raised over $5,000 for Twin Cities youth arts programs through their kick off project Ladies of Jazz.
